10/17-18, 2026 - Russel KS - Alpha 7 Special Course

We are back for the special training experience at Alpha 7 Outdoors in Russel KS. For more information on the Lodge please visit https://www.alpha7outdoors.com/pages/lodge 
 
Alpha 7 is hosting the event, along with meals and lodging. Specifically included: 
 - Lodging: 2 nights lodging at the Alpha 7 lodge (more can be arranged)
 - Meals: Lunch & dinner Saturday, lunch on Sunday. 
 - 500 rds. of 9mm is also included.
 
The primary training over two days will be focused on entry level performance pistol mechanics including:
 - Marksmanship at Speed
 - Gun Handling Skills
 - Target Transitions
 - Movement
 
Day 2 will finish with a quick introduction to performance carbine! We'll have limited time, but will dive into the keys of rifle marksmanship at speed which include the mount and connection.
 
Basic Gear List:
- OWB holster and mag pouches or competition rig recommended. If a shooter is already proficient with an IWB position such as AIWB and prefers to use an EDC holster that is acceptable as well.
- A full size pistol with a minimum capacity of 15 rounds is recommended.
- A Semi-automatic duty/competition capable carbine equipped with a sling and 1x capable optic.
- Enough magazines to carry at least 60 rounds on your person.
- We expect to shoot around 800-900 rounds of 9mm, and 200 rounds of 5.56.
- Athletic footwear with an aggressive tread recommended.

- Homestead Training Center: $50
- Live Fire Training Academy: $60
- Burro Canyon $100 per person total range fees.
- T-Minus - No range fees! (Will shoot T-Minus practical shooters match the day after class as a squad)
- Modesto/Oakdale Sportsman's Club $70 per person. Will shoot USPSA match the last day as a class squad.
- Rooftop Shooting Range - $100 per person.
- Shadow Hawk Defense - $90 per person.
- Cripple Creek CO/Teller County Shooting Society - $50 per person.
- Temple Gun Club - $40 per person + Match Fee
- Element Training Complex - $90 per person
- Range at True North - $50 per person

CLASS CANCELATION POLICY - Since our founding, SpecTrain has only canceled one class (due to COVID lockdowns). If we are ever forced to cancel a class again, a full refund or credit towards a future class will be offered. No refunds will be given for class tuition due to a student being unable to attend. With at least seven calendar days notice, we will extend an equal value credit towards a future class. Without prior notice, no future credit will be issued.
