8/26-27/26 Dickerson MD - LE ONLY 2-Day Performance Pistol Mechanics
LE Performance Pistol Mechanics is great for any officer looking to take their skills to the next level. This is not a tactics or scenario based course, but instead will focus on applying practical performance shooting principles make officers faster and more accurate in their professional context.
Primary Areas of Instruction Include
Fundamentals deep dive, emphasis on grip, trigger control and vision.
The formulas of speed and accuracy on targets of varying difficulty including differing aiming schemes and trigger control technique. (This culminates in the Billy Drill Standards with a chance for the Speed Up & Get Your Hits patch).
The Draw Stroke, including a discussion of the scoop vs snatch draw, and Billy's hybrid draw. This will also include different start positions.
Reloads
Single Handed Shooting
Advanced Target Transitions including blending transition styles through targets of differing difficulties, and correct prioritizing of speed vs. accuracy on target arrays.
Efficient movement between and through shooting positions.
Shooting on the Move
Basic Gear List:
- Suitable holster specifically designed for the pistol being used and preventing access to the trigger guard when holstered. Duty gear, concealment gear, or race gear are all good to go.
- Suitable Duty or Competiton Pistol (no revolver/sub-compact)
- Enough magazines to carry at least 60 rounds on your person.
- We expect to shoot around 1000 over the two days.
- Athletic footwear with an aggresive tread recommened.

Please note this range is exclusive active local, state and federal Law Enforcement Officers & Instructors. Active MIL may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Verification will be done the day of class. If you register while not being in the above groups and are therefore denied access to the range refunds will not be issued. Also please note that body armor is required while shooting on this range. Soft armor is fine I’m told.
CLASS CANCELATION POLICY - Once you register, you reserve the class slot and prevent others from being able to attend the class. Therefore, no refunds will be given for class tuition due to a student being unable to attend. With at least fourteen calander days notice, we will extend an equal value credit towards a future class. Without prior notice, no future credit will be issued.
