Dry Fire Targets
There are very few things you need for quality dry fire. You need a gun, your holster, maybe some weighted dummy rounds, and some targets. There are a lot options out there for targets that work really well, and are basically free, like just printing off target images on your home printer. But I wanted something better. Something that looked better. Something that was thin and lightweight, yet way more durable than paper or cardboard. Something that you could easily set anywhere and use.
The SpecTrain dry fire targets are exactly that. .6mm thick polymer targets, perfectly scaled to USPSA targets and steel, with subtle scoring zone lines, and a simple stand designed to let you set them anywhere.
One of the bundles we are offering at launch is the "vision focus" bundle. These targets have a small high-contrast black squares in the center of both a-zones. These precise aiming points are excellent tools for isolating gun behavior in trigger control at speed, draws, transitions etc. They are also great visual training wheels for learning what it feels like to look at very specific spots in the center of what you want to hit on target.
Mounting solutions are numerous.
- Use the included stands to set targets on any flat surface. Great for creating depth changes.
- Use simple scotch tape to hang targets on any wall (what I typically use in hotels when traveling).
- Push a small push pin through the target, and hang arrays on any cardboard or other surface like a full size USPSA target.
- Attach adhesive velcro.
