M.A.R.S Magnet

M.A.R.S Magnet

The M.A.R.S (Magnetic Angle Adjustable Retention System) Magnet fixes all the problems that sometimes occur when using a magazine magnet in competition. The mount secures your magazine at a fixed angle, and helps prevent the magazine from being turned or knocked loose. There were a few really key features I wanted for this that set it apart.

  • Compatibility: There are various plate / hardware options for the MARS Magnet depending on your application.
    • The OWB model will come with a BladeTech Tek-lok pre-installed, but is compatible with a variety of other mounts that utilize .75" hole spacing. If you are planning on using something other than Tek-lock you can use the no hardware option. The no hardware option will also direct mount to our BattleComp 2.0 Belt from Howitzer Clothing
    • The Double Alpha option is specifically designed for mounting to the front of DAA mag pouches. Please note that the DAA shelf is not angle adjustable.
    • The universal IWB Plate + Clip is designed for attaching a MARS Magnet to an IWB holster other than the T1 APX. It will come preinstalled with a Tacware 5-hole slip, which will accommodate 1.5" or 1.75" belts and should be mountable to the vast majority of holsters.
  • Angle adjustment: The interlocking plate design allows the user to micro-adjust the angle the magazine will be retained at for customization to the shooter and magnet placement.
  • Bullets Out: The shelf is sizable enough to accommodate a bullets-out or bullets-forward magazine orientation while still having secure retention.
  • Retention: We sourced a 1.8", 209 lb magnet for this package. Have no fear when slapping your magazine on this bad boy that it won't still be there when you need it. This is definitely stronger than your average magnet, working well with Glock OEM magazines, but it still works great with metal mags as well. This adds a few bucks in cost, but we feel it's well worth it.
  • Space: For training use we often stack more than one magazine on the magnet, so I made sure the shelf left enough space for two magazines.

Note: Magazines must be made of ferrous metal or have a metal sleeve like Glock OEM magazines. Will not work with PMAG's or anything similar.

Note: Black Epoxy coating on the magnet will wear over time with continued use like any coating (example wear pictured). This wear is expected and will not be subject to return.
